Abha is the capital city of Asir Province in the southwestern part of Saudi Arabia. ‘Asir’ means ‘difficult’ in Arabic. The people there are also very hard-hearted. The city is about seven and a half thousand feet above sea level, and so the climate is cold throughout the year. * My experience with Ava Mountain Clouds
My friend and I took a 3-day vacation and left for Awara when the whole of Saudi Arabia was hot. The distance from Jeddah to Awara is about 500 km. We left at 7:30 AM and it took about 6-7 hours to reach there. Upon arriving, I forgot it was Saudi Arabia.

It was wonderful to see the clouds mingling with the high mountains. I felt like I fell in love with nature. The clouds lightly came and touched us. We stayed there for two days before heading back to Jeddah.
