* Quba Mosque

Quba Mosque

It is the first mosque built in the history of Islam, located 3 km from Masjid al-Nabawi. The mosque was constructed during the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) stay in Quba during his migration. Rasulullah (s.a.w.) said, “Whoever purifies himself and comes to the Masjid al-Quba to pray, he will receive the reward of Umrah.” (Ibn Majah) I prayed 2 rakats in this masjid. Both the interior and exterior of the place are very beautiful. If you ever have a chance to visit Madinah, you must go to pray at Masjid Quba. It will not take much time, just 20 to 30 minutes.

2, JOmma Mosque

After the migration to Madinah, the Prophet (PBUH) first performed the Friday prayer at this place. Later, a mosque was built here and named ‘Masjid Juma’ after the Prophet (PBUH) prayed in it. The mosque is located 900 meters north of Masjid Quba and 6 km south of Masjid al-Nabawi.

The hypocrites of Madinah built a mosque near Masjid Quba to plot against the Muslims. Historically, this mosque is known as ‘Masjid Zirar’. Later, being commanded by Allah, the Prophet (PBUH) ordered its destruction. On the order of the Prophet (PBUH), the Muslims demolished this arena of conspiracy of the hypocrites in the form of a mosque. The ruins still exist today. It is said in the Qur’an, “And those who set up a mosque for mischief and disbelief, and for the purpose of creating division among the believers, and as a base for that which before it was fighting against Allah and His Messenger…” (Surah Tawbah, verse 107).
